Amendment 2 was passed in Florida in November 2016, with 71% of voters voting to allow the use of medical marijuana. Florida Senate Bill 8A was passed and The Florida Department of Health – Office of Medical Marijuana Use was created to define the legislative intent and operation of the program statewide.
